Renowned Speakers Highlight Leading Pet Sitters National Conference

The National Association of Professional Pet Sitters (NAPPS) Annual Conference and Small Business Forum will be held Jan. 22-24, 2010 at the Regal Sun Resort in Orlando, Fla. The annual convention brings together the nation’s top pet sitters for a weekend of networking and education on improving pet care and business skills.

During the three-day event participants will attend educational sessions where they can learn valuable skills from renowned speakers as well as find out about the latest products and services available from exhibiting vendors. The conference also offers an ideal atmosphere for conference participants to network and learn from fellow NAPPS members.

An outstanding lineup of speakers will share their expertise with conference attendees. Highlights include:

Arden Moore travels all over North America to help people and pets better connect as an animal behavior consultant, in-demand speaker, best-selling pet author and host of the popular “Oh Behave!” show on Pet Life Radio.com. Known as America’s Pet Edu-Tainer,™ Moore has been featured on CNN Headline News, Fox News, NPR, Martha Stewart Living Radio, The Mike and Juliet Show plus hundreds of television and radio shows. She is editor of Catnip, editor-at-large of Fido Friendly and author of 20 books on dogs and cats, including The Dog Behavior Answer Book, The Cat Behavior Answer Book, Dog Parties and Planet Cat. Moore’s talk, “How to Host a Dog Party and Sneak in Good Doggy Manners,” is sure to be a crowd pleaser during the Annual Conference.

William Berloni is considered the leading trainer of animals for live performances and the media. For more than 30 years, William Berloni Theatrical Animals has provided animals trained to meet the demands of live performances – from Broadway to ballet – as well as film, television and commercial work. His pioneering humane training techniques have won multiple awards including the American Humane Association Richard Craven Award. Berloni is widely recognized as an expert in animal behavior and for his dedication to rescue work. In addition to his work as a trainer, Berloni is currently a behavior consultant to the Humane Society of New York. He is also a published author and actor.

Vicky Lynne Morgan is a speaker, workshop facilitator, Certified Guerrilla Marketing Coach, and marketing and sales professional. She has been a business owner for more than 30 years. As a strategic advisor, she specializes in helping clients with their marketing plans, selling skills, customer relationship management and trade show and event planning. By identifying foundations and key elements, her clients are prepared to reach their ‘next level’ of success. Morgan will deliver Guerilla Marketing Techniques and will speak about Customer Experience Management during two interactive sessions at the Annual Conference.

Dan Norman helps salespeople improve their sales performance in a tough economy by teaching them how the very best salespeople have achieved extraordinary success. Throughout his career, Norman has made a science of understanding the mindset, practices and motivation of the very best in sales. He is a sales performance expert with more than 25 years experience in senior sales and general management positions. He is also a columnist, an educational and very funny professional speaker and the author of the book, Top Ten Selling®-The Lumberjack Chronicles. Norman’s motivational speech, “Networking Skills to Grow Your Business,” is sure to inspire all attendees during the Annual Conference.

From pet sitting business basics for the novice pet sitter to programs for the more seasoned pet sitter, the 2010 NAPPS Annual Conference is the must-attend event of the year for professional pet sitters. The organizing committee has developed a comprehensive program to educate attendees on timely topics such as dog and cat behavior; pet loss and grief; liability and bonding insurance; emergency preparedness; alternative care; self defense and security; and many others.
